It was originally designed for other sports like golf, tennis, football and bowling but is so effective pole dancers prefer it. I don't use it for climbing, but for anyone out there looking for an actual solution to their sweaty palms; this is some pretty useful stuff.

Dry Hands for when I’m hot and sweaty and Dancing Dust for when I’m dry and need a little help sticking. While it is a great choice for dry skin and can easily be used with sweaty skin, it may need to be layered over an antiperspirant to really help with extremely sweaty skin.

I personally haven’t used gloves and wouldn’t really recommend it to my students, however if it is something that you may be considering you can always try it and see how it works for you personally.
