About this deal

Vrrmik - The former Albino Stormvermin ruler of Clan Mors and Grand Supreme Warlord of all Skavendom. Stormvermin are knightly looking, every skaven believes they are better then everybody else so in a medieval world knights are seen as the most prestigious, the most important and skaven love that… Clan Mors employs a variety of techniques, from the tried and true waves of slaves and Clanrats to the mysterious assassinations employed by their trained killers. Perhaps their strongest asset is their use of poisons, for which they are famous throughout the Under-Empire. Still, the tactics of Clan Mors are hard to predict because their greatest strength is their rapid adaptation to the situation at hand. Unlike the Great Clans, they are not heavily invested in or beholden to any one particular method of war or weapon of choice, and that versatility is a notable asset among the often single-minded Skaven. [1a] Stormvermin are evidence of a centralised power in skavendom, the council of 13. They are trained killers from a young age apart of a elite fighting force responsible for protecting warlords, grey seers and their assets…To someone who knows little to nothing about the skaven it’s easy to assume a mad max world when it’s more like the hunger games with a small number of highly trained and technologically advanced skaven.

Of course, this camaraderie will only stretch so far. Stormvermin are constantly on the lookout for any weakness in their peers, and those who show such flaws will be mercilessly cut down by their brothers. Position in the ranks of the Stormvermin is achieved through a series of duels, though it occasionally falls on the last remaining survivor of a unit to take command. These officers, known as Fangleaders, are some of the deadliest Stormvermin of all. [1] There are two core sets of models that any prospective Skaven army collector should look at purchasing, and purchasing in numbers. These are Clanrats and Stormvermin. Clanrats are your grunt, your generic trooper. They’re there to act in three ways: as a meat shield for your more valuable units and heroes, to deny areas of the board to your opponent, and to deal damage if enough of them survive to reach the enemy. Shut down command abilities within 13″ on a 5+. This one is entirely new and very interesting, whenever a model issues a command, you can shut it down on a 5+. It’s going to require a lot of set up to get it but you’ll probably be thankful for the rare times this does go off.The Verminguard - The predecessors to the Albino Stormvermin as guardians of the Council of Thirteen.

Implications and HeuristicsNot all Power vs properties are equally useful. In general you will be using Power verse Infantry, Skaven and Chaos. Warlord Gnawdwell, the mastermind behind Clan Mors’ unbridled success and the unquestioned master of the City of Pillars, now sits upon the Council of Thirteen. His ruthless methods have resulted in the deaths of many of his rivals, as well as the outright destruction of at least six lesser Clans. With these triumphs, Gnawdwell has increased the wealth and power of Clan Mors to unprecedented levels. The Skaven of defeated Clans have increased Mors’ military strength, not to mention its labour force, and conquered strongholds across the Under-Empire proudly fly their banner. [1a] Most P3 Paints do not match closely with the old GW range, but a detailed explanation of each paint can be found here: http://www.brushthralls.com/pre-painting-prep/color-theory-10p3.html reason: the only armored units in this game are stormvermin, stormvermin captain, shielded stormvermin, ratlin' gunner and flamethrower rat (actually while writing this it came to my mind that stormfiend has armored type arms (?), not 100% sure tho)

Clan Mors is one of the most powerful of the Warlord Clans, ruled by the equally ruthless Lord Gnawdwell. Due to recent victories and prodigious expansion, Clan Mors is very near to matching Clans Eshin, Pestilens, Moulder, and even Skryre in sheer power and influence. Together, the four Great Clans might easily crush Mors, much as they have destroyed other upstart clans in the past. Yet Mors continues to flaunt its power, and none are certain why the Great Clans have failed to act as they are expected to. [1a] HandgunThe Handgun can be made to kill Stormvermin and Beastigors in one bodyshot. Or it can be made to kill Infantry specials (Gas Rats, Leeches and Sorcerers) in one bodyshot. Enhanced Power makes it easier to meet multiple breakpoints.

I expect the recommendation for Virtue: Knightly Temper to attract comments. Its alternatives appear promising. But close examination of the numbers indicate that they do not reach meaningful new breakpoints. Skaven in Warhammer Age of Sigmar, like many other Games Workshop armies, play in a way that reinforces their fiction, with many aspects that define their particular role on the battlefield. The first of these is that, as a Skaven army, you’ll want a lot of bodies to throw at the enemy. Skaven are most often seen as a ‘horde’ army; compared to many other factions, you’ll be able to cover the board with bodies for comparatively few points. I added several layers of thinned old Snot Green [ Warpstone Glow], concentrating on the upper tips of the flames. Bounty Hunter can use the triple shot to instantly kill many elites. But the normal Crossbow kills elites better at longer range because you do not have to get up close to make all 3 shots hit.

Playing Skaven in Warhammer Age of Sigmar

The weak spot of Stormvermin is their head: head-shots with both ranged and melee is the best (and sometimes only) way to take them out. However, if your weapon has the Armour Piercing characteristic, body shots also work well. Lastly, after working through the numbers I verify my theories by playing lots of games as Grail Knight. Using different combinations of weapons and talents, I see how effective different combinations feel in game. This lets me see if there are aspects I under or overvalued. Warlord Niktz Spiketail - Warlord of Clan Mors' First Fang, a retinue of Clanrats, Giant Rats, and Skavenslaves. [4b]
