i have never ever read anything by ms. cora and being introduced to her mafia universe is a little... overwhelming. there's just A LOT of books and spinoffs that my head hurts just thinking about it. but there's so much praise and beautiful edits of "coraverse" that i just had to read the book that started it all right? Cora Reilly delivered a well written story about a young girl whose father promises her hand in marriage to Luca Vitiello, the oldest son of the New York Familia. Aria isn’t interested in being married to this handsome, scary, man and has lived an isolated life with her siblings. This arranged marriage will strengthen the bond between the Chicago family and the New York family against the threatening Russian families.

Taking into account that Aria refused to sleep with him, Luca assumed, as someone who had never had an example of a normal functioning relationship in front of his eyes, that she despises him and would be fine with that type arrangement. Bound by Honor was well-written and the pace was great, I found myself invested in the characters and the story. It wasn't without fault and honestly wasn't profound or anything - but it was entertaining. I really love that he doesn't like it easy. He likes challenges and he is relentless and never gives up. That makes him unique. He is like a champion as he should be 💪. Grace Parker, one of Luca’s old girlfriends/plaything. She’s the daughter of a New York senator who’s on the payroll of the Mafia.

I didn't feel like Luca was such a badass, cold bastard when he was with Aria. Which kinda ruined the image of him. Her father is an asshole! Ηe and all the Outfit treated her very bad... Her only shield is Matteo... The sex wasn't that hot. It took a long time into the book for Luca to take her virginity. And, yeah, it wasn't hot. Why? Aria constantly said it hurt, and it kinda overruled the hotness of it all. Like the previous two books, this one is sprinkled with some editing oversights. There are enough instances of these grammatical mistakes to be noticeable, but not so many that the story is ruined.
