This book is most definitely much heavier than the others- there is a gravitas in general to bother characters already given past pains both are working through - Rhett’s revolving around his ex. These two get off to a little bit of a rough start, but they are both dedicated to their sports, and they complement each other perfectly.Broken hearts is the third book in the series, but can still be read as a standalone which I did this time because I couldn't tone down the excitement over the hockey player/figure skater trope (!

It had a lot of depth and emotion to it and some unexpected twists that kept me fully engrossed the whole story. Rhett Rauthruss is having trouble adapting to single life after ending a six year relationship while Sienna doesn’t really know about dating in college since she’s spent most of it working on her figure skating.

I am always so excited to read her next book because I know I’m getting everything I want in a sports romance and more. However, when life throws them a curveball, are both strong enough of heart to work through their issues towards a HEA?
